Keecha Harris
Linda’s insights are spot on. She readily embeds herself into your thought process and is able to generate products that you can literally “take to the bank.” She has an incredible knack for streamlining content in the context of difficult and/or difficult-to-convey context. My team fell in love with her immediately and know that we can count on her to approach each task energetically and enthusiastically. She is the answer to a prayer.

I stumbled upon Linda Tate’s website while searching for a Boulder-based copy editor for a book-length manuscript. The quality of her work was superb. She ferreted out the most obscure errors and offered valuable advice in a gentle way. On deadline, she completed each segment of her work in record time and with unerring accuracy. I’ve had experience with several other editors, but Linda is the best!

Laurie Baefsky
Tate Communications is the go-to consultancy for editorial and copy writing services. Linda is the perfect blend of effectiveness and efficiency. Linda Tate is a consummate professional and a wizard at the written word. She brings to bear decades of experience in academia as an English professor, which she applies aptly through Tate Communications. I have now used her expertise as copyeditor for two scholarly publications. One was editing a white paper on very short notice. The second was a final report for a large three-year research endeavor. She is systematic, detailed, scrutinizing, and exacting. She caught many things that escaped our in-house team. In addition, Linda is personable, extremely responsive, and works efficiently and within all deadlines. I will recommend her to others and hope to continue to use her services for future projects.

Patricia Elder, Former Program Manager, i3 (Investing in Innovation), Smithsonian Science Education Center
Working with Linda Tate was both professionally enriching and personally satisfying. In a few short months, Linda helped a small team at the Smithsonian Science Education Center produce multiple project reports under a very tight timeline. Hired as a copyeditor, her contributions surpassed our expectations, and better communication was the result. Linda’s perspective on style is refreshing, and her approach to technical correctness is empowering. She made the rest of us better! She worked seamlessly with our project designer and the report team and was always on time – but more often, ahead of schedule. I’d love to work with Linda again!
